Kinpupu Suika is a new species of watermelon that was developed specially in hill region and exclusive in Fukul City. The name "Kinpupu" (Golden Fortune) is based on the golden color and the beautiful apperance of the watermelon. It is completely spherical and exhibits a lustrous sleek gold colour on the outside. On the inside, the fruit is a brilliant red colour. Generally, the fruit weighs roughly two kilograms. It also embodies the prayers for good health and happiness for the citizens of Fukui City and for economic growth for the city as a whole. Hence, these watermelons are recognised as Fukui "recommended products".
Kinpuku in Japan is considered a symbol of “health & happiness” and is therefore in demand in the market especially as a gift. The true identity is golden watermelon. It is unique crispy and refreshing taste like sorbet. It only has a few seeds and the mellow is very sweetness
